The Causes of Sudden Cardiac Death in Student Athletes
- The most common cause in the US is HCM, except in Italy where it is ARVC (Sudden Death in Young Competitive Athletes by BJ Maron M.D. JAMA. July 17, 1996).
- Studies in Italy have created a new European consensus approach, which is changing the way physicians look at the detection of sudden death here in the US.
